Terms of use
Effective date: 13 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are a contract between you and [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME], an
individual trading as Didventure, at [ADDRESS] ("Didventure", "we").
Company registration number: none yet (to be added when a company is
formed). They cover the Didventure apps and didventure.com
(together, "Didventure"). Our Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy are part of how
Didventure works; please read them too.
You accept these terms when you create an account. You can browse without an account; while you do, sections 5, 9, 10 and 14 to 20 apply.
2. Who can use Didventure
- You must be 18 or older to create an account, post, add spots, review or buy anything.
- One person, one account. Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe.
- You may not use Didventure if we have closed your account for breaking these terms, or if the law forbids it.
3. Your account
You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at support@didventure.com if you
think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time
in Settings → Account → Delete account, or at
https://didventure.com/delete-account.
4. What Didventure offers
Didventure lets you log the adventures you did, see what others are doing, give Stokes, follow people, keep a Passport of stamps, explore spots on a map and a globe, read and write reviews, and open offers from operators and booking partners.
Free, permanently: browsing, spot pages, saves and Bucket list, posting adventures (up to 10 photos or one video of up to 90 seconds each), the Feed, Stokes, follows, profiles, reviews, the Passport with stamps, the adventure globe, community spots, every privacy and safety control, and all safety information. We may improve these features, but we will not move them behind a payment.
We may change, add or remove other features to improve Didventure, for security or because the law requires it. If a change materially reduces something you paid for, section 11.7 applies.
5. Adventure risks: please read
- Adventure activities can be dangerous. A listing, a spot, a review, a stamp or a verification statement on Didventure is not a safety guarantee and is not advice that an activity suits you.
- Information comes from users, operators and our curators. It may be out of date or wrong. Check conditions, the operator's current licences and insurance, the weather and your own fitness before you go.
- Community spots are added by users. Do not go where it is unsafe, illegal or private, and follow local rules and closures.
- Operator verification on Didventure is a set of separate, dated statements (for example "insurance checked on 2 March 2027, expires 1 March 2028"). An expired statement shows as expired. It is not an endorsement.
- In an emergency, call 112 (EU) or the local emergency number. Didventure is not an emergency service.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post: photos, videos, stories, reviews, spots, your profile ("your content").
The licence you give us. So that Didventure can work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, adapt technically (for example resize, transcode, create thumbnails, remove location and camera data), display, distribute and make your content available within Didventure and on Didventure's own web pages and share previews, according to the visibility you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups (kept up to 14 days), copies other people already shared outside Didventure through their own means, and records we must keep by law (for example a moderation decision).
What we do not get. We do not use your content in advertising, store listings or marketing, and we do not let operators reuse it, unless you give a separate, explicit permission for that specific item. You can refuse without any effect on your account.
Your promises. You confirm that you have the rights to what you post, including the consent of people who can be recognised in it and permission for any music, and that it follows the Community Guidelines and the law.
Feedback. If you send us ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Rules
You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not:
- post illegal content, or content that encourages dangerous behaviour, bypassing operator safety, or trespass;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or expose anyone, or share someone's private information or home location;
- post fake reviews, fake completions or fake verification evidence, or buy or sell Stokes or follows;
- post content you do not have the rights to;
- use bots, scrape Didventure, or interfere with its security or other people's use of it;
- use Didventure to sell to users without our permission (operators use the operator terms instead).
8. Moderation, reports and appeals
This section describes how we moderate, as required by the EU Digital Services Act (Art. 14).
- Review. New adventures are checked by a person before anyone else can see them. New spots appear at once and are checked shortly after. We do not use automated moderation. Adventure context matters: a climbing fall on a rope is not treated like violence.
- Reports. Anyone can report content: in the app with Report on any adventure, review, profile or operator, or by email to legal@didventure.com (also for spots, for people without the app, and for notices of illegal content and intellectual property claims). Reports and uploads are reviewed by our team. We confirm receipt of an email notice and decide without undue delay; severe reports are handled first.
- What we can do. Remove or hide content, limit its visibility, auto-hide content reported by three different people while we check it, issue a strike, suspend or close an account. Three strikes lead to a suspension review.
- Reasons. When we act on your content or account, your adventure shows as "Not approved" in the app and we email you, from legal@didventure.com, what we did, why, which rule or law it was based on, and how to appeal (a "statement of reasons"). No automation is involved.
- Appeals. You can appeal within 14 days by replying to that email or writing to legal@didventure.com. A person reviews the decision again, normally within 72 hours, and tells you the result. You may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under the EU Digital Services Act (Art. 21).
- Misuse. We may stop handling reports from someone who often sends clearly unfounded reports, after a warning.
- Authorities. We remove content when a competent authority orders it (including terrorist content within one hour of an order) and tell the police when we suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety.
- How the Feed is ordered. The Feed shows public adventures newest first, with Everyone and Following lenses and category filters. It is not personalised by a profiling algorithm. Payment never changes ranking or reach.
9. Operators, offers and bookings
- Offers and booking links come from independent operators and booking partners (for example GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook). Your booking is a contract with them, not with Didventure, under their terms, prices, cancellation and privacy policies. We do not take payment for bookings.
- Didventure may earn a commission when you book through a link. That never changes the order of organic results, reviews or verification.
- Operators set their prices. Check the final price, including taxes, on the operator's or partner's page.
- Operators can claim and edit their page and reply to reviews. They cannot buy verification, remove honest reviews, or change the order of reviews.
10. Sponsored content
Didventure shows no sponsored content in this version. If we add sponsored offers from verified operators later, they will be on Explore destination lists and spot pages only, always labelled "Sponsored", at most one per screen, with a "Why am I seeing this?" sheet that names who paid and why it is shown (destination and category, never your personal data). There will be no sponsored content in the Feed, Search, profiles, the Passport or Activity, and we will update these terms before it starts.
11. Didventure Blaze (subscription)
11.1 What it is. Blaze is an optional subscription that adds features to Didventure. At launch of Blaze it includes Passport Deep Stats, videos of up to 3 minutes (instead of 90 seconds), an optional flame ring on your profile, and stamp frames as described in the app. The current list is always shown on the paywall before you buy. Blaze is cosmetic and informational: it never affects ranking, reach, Stoke weight or verification, and it never buys privacy or safety features (those are free).
11.2 Plans and prices. In the euro area: Blaze Monthly EUR 5.99 per month; Blaze Annual EUR 39.99 per year; during the first 12 months after Blaze launches, Founding Blaze EUR 29.99 per year, which keeps that price while it renews without a break. Prices include VAT where applicable. Prices in other currencies are set by the store and shown before you buy; the price shown by the store at purchase is the price you pay.
11.3 Free trial. Blaze Annual may come with a 14-day free trial, once per person, if the store says your account is eligible. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid annual subscription and the store charges the annual price. We send a reminder 2 days before the trial ends. Monthly and Founding plans have no trial.
11.4 Who sells it. Blaze is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store takes the payment, issues the receipt, applies taxes, and handles refunds under its own terms. Your Blaze is linked to your Didventure account and works on Android, iOS and the web, wherever you signed in. You can only manage or cancel it in the store that bills you. Apple Family Sharing is not available for Blaze.
11.5 Automatic renewal and cancellation. Blaze renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (Didventure: Settings → Subscription → Manage opens them). After you cancel, Blaze stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If a payment fails, the store may retry and keep Blaze active for a short grace period.
11.6 Your right to withdraw (EU and UK consumers). You can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days under the terms of the store you bought from, which also handles the refund. If you asked for Blaze to start straight away and then withdraw, the store may keep an amount for the days you already had Blaze.
11.7 Changes to Blaze. We may add features to Blaze at any time. We may change or remove a Blaze feature only for a valid reason (for example a security or legal problem, a partner ending a service, or a feature that almost nobody uses), at no cost to you, and we will tell you in advance and in the app. If a change materially harms your access to or use of Blaze, you can end your subscription and get a refund for the unused part of the period: ask the store, or write to support@didventure.com and we arrange it. Price changes for renewals follow the store's rules: the store tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your agreement; if you do not agree, the subscription ends at the end of the current period. Founding Blaze keeps its price while it renews without a break.
11.8 Account deletion. Deleting your Didventure account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first; the app reminds you before you delete. After deletion we cannot restore Blaze or packs to a new account.
12. Packs (one-time purchases)
- Packs (for example stamp frame packs at EUR 2.49 each) are one-time digital purchases through the App Store or Google Play. They are cosmetic or content only and never affect ranking or verification.
- A pack belongs to your Didventure account for as long as the account exists and works on all your devices. Use Restore Purchases (paywall or Settings → Subscription) on a new device.
- Withdrawal: packs are delivered immediately. By buying, you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw once delivery has started, as the store's terms provide. Refund requests go to the store.
- Some packs may be included with Blaze while Blaze is active (shown on the pack). Packs you bought stay yours if Blaze ends; included ones do not.
- If a store refunds or reverses a purchase, we remove what it unlocked.
13. Promotions and codes
We may offer promotions, store offer codes, or time-limited Blaze access (for example as support compensation). Each comes with its own conditions shown at the time. Didventure does not sell its own codes for in-app features; any code that unlocks Blaze or packs is redeemed through the store.
14. Our rights
Didventure, its software, design, the name Didventure, Didventure Blaze and the flame logo belong to [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME] or their licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer (except where the law allows), resell or create derivative works of the app. Open-source components are licensed under their own licences; the list is available on request at support@didventure.com. Map data © Google (Android app) and © Apple and its data providers (iPhone app), as shown on the map.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close your account, or limit features, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the Community Guidelines, if the law requires it, or to protect other people. We will tell you why and how to appeal (section 8), unless the law forbids it or it would put someone at risk. If we close Didventure entirely, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and the chance to export your data, and refunds for unused paid periods where the law requires.
You can stop using Didventure and delete your account at any time.
16. App Store terms (for the iOS app)
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store:
- These terms are between you and Didventure only, not Apple. Didventure, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other claims are Didventure's responsibility, as described in these terms.
- Didventure, not Apple, is responsible for any product claims, consumer protection or legal compliance claims relating to the app, and for any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Contact for questions and complaints: support@didventure.com, [ADDRESS].
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to the download and to purchases. Google is not responsible for the app.
18. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer (for example for faulty digital content or services).
- Within those limits, we are not responsible for: activities you do, operators' and partners' services, content posted by other users, losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or business losses.
- Didventure is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example for new features, legal changes or to prevent misuse. For a material change we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies (sooner only where the law or a safety issue requires). If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change applies; paid subscriptions continue under the old terms until the end of the current period.
20. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country or of the Republic of Cyprus. We try to resolve complaints first at support@didventure.com.
